WELCOME TO DR FILM

Pulp Fiction is 1994 neo-noir crime film directed and written by Quentin Tarantino. And follows a several stories: Hit men, a boxer, a gangster's wife, and a pair of diner bandits. And all the stories intersect in narrative structure. So we don't know exactly what is happening in this film until we watch!

Pulp Fiction is a terrific film. It also gets better with each viewing, especially if one of those happens to be on a big theatrical screen where all of the big compositions get bigger and more detailed. How much else is there to talk about it after all these years? A lot, but let me discuss one by one.

Part 1: Dialogue

The dialogue in this movie is not plot driven. The purpose with the dialogue is to set up the characters and entertain the audience, that it succeed with. It's filled with dynamite, sudden and always interesting action, great and naturally clever dialogue. The dialogue is also what makes this movie so funny. Tarantino (the director) like to use phrases that means the same thing as more common use phrases but is so much funnier.

Part 2: Acting

Amazing dialogue without a good delivery is nothing and nearly as entertaining. Luckily for this movie the acting is great and they deliver the dialogue perfect. In this film we've got John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel and Christopher Walken that plays great performances. And don't forget Quentin Tarantino himself. Also, the acting is always something to behold as by turns straightforward, over the top, subtle, and just downright menacing and spot-on.

Part 3: Soundtrack

The music also is important to set the tone and ad to the fantastic experience. So it is with what we hear in this movie. The soundtrack. The soundtrack always draws our attention to scene after scene from opening to end, always feels cool and fits in every appearance. Not even easy to forget for all the viewers who watch it. We've got "Misirlou"', "Jungle Boogie", "Son of Preacher Man", "You Never Can Tell" and all of those songs always make an impression.

Part 4: Cinematography

Like the soundtrack the cinematography is just awesome. The bright colors and the typical stile Tarantino have when he shot movies is perfect and fits to the noir genre. The camera told us that this is a fun experience that you gotta watch, not a very crime dark movie with some serious story. Believe me, this is a fun film.

Part 5: Directing & Script

The directing is one of the strongest that we've seen from Tarantino, as he makes his choices in pacing with shots in unconventional ways but never in a way that would be distracting. And this might be the best script of all time execute to perfection. It's in the script all the joke is and it is the script that have the perfect linked story. But the script also have the three different time-lines that makes this movie one of the most re-watchable movie of all time. And that's make Pulp Fiction is a funny, mysterious, and  gorgeously written movie that's a time-capsule for the 90s.

Overall, Pulp Fiction is a darkly humorous, colourful and hard-to-guess story that's still loved to this very day, and for damn good reason: It is a film that has a little bit of wisdom something for everyone.

Cop Car is directed by Jon Watts and starring Kevin Bacon tells the story of two young kids who steal a cop car for joyride. And of course, it's a bad idea after the kids find out that this car is belonging to a sheriff played by Kevin Bacon, they know they are in some serious problem.

To be honest, back to 2015 when this movie got released, I don't know anything about this movie. Until name Jon Watts reported that he is gonna be attach to direct Spider-Man reboot in MCU, I'm look after his name on Wikipedia and find out that he is maked film called Cop Car. After watching it, I'm so stunned.

First of all, this movie really well crafted. Capturing the widescreen of countryside, cinematography in this film a little bit reminds me of No Country For Old Men at some point, but in a different way and sorely beautiful shot. Quirkiness of two young boys characters, somehow it makes me adore and care with them. The dialogue that came out of their mouths is good. It feels like we are going back to childhood again and do some adventure with our imagination. Their back stories hinted very nice, and it makes us wonder what happen next. Two actors that portrays the kids are doing good job.

And Kevin Bacon as sherriff is so damn great. Very underrated actor, when exactly last time we see Kevin Bacon doing great performance? He plays some bad cop that I don't wanna get into spoilers why, but his character is interesting in a lot of way. And he is not just about some bad guy who have powers, he is human too. Has some weak points, he asking fo a help too. And it makes the story look more realistic.

One issue that I've got with this film is just the woman character when she's driving in an oncoming lane and meet without stop with the boys. I think her characters is forced and annoying. Beyond it all, everything in this movie are solid, even with ending which I think it's okay.

A jewellery heist has gone wrong and the perpetrators make their way back to a pre-arranged rendezvous, a warehouse. The cops knew about the robbery and they have a traitor in their midst. To keep themselves anonymous, Joe, the organiser of the heist had given them all names of colours. Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. White, even Mr. Pink. What a fantastic film to start a career with. Tarantino shows that while he has never been to film school he knows what he wants and he knows how to get it. This doesn't take cinema to a new level but shows how to make a simple story - that could have been a cheap TV movie in someone else's hands - in to something brilliant. Yes brilliant, not a word I use very often for review, but I gotta say, it's brilliant.

Tarantino's film making style is so unique, like nothing I have ever seen before. When I started watching the film for the first time I wasn't sure what to expect. But, from the soundtrack used after the first scene I was expecting a standard robbery that goes down to plan as they are walking down the street looking very confident with an enthusiastic song playing along, this created the image that they know what they are doing and are relaxed about it all. The story is told in an unique way by using flashbacks from how they all got the assignment for the mission and flashbacks from after the robbery, not shown in the right order. And it works wonderful! It's a shear pleasure to watch from beginning till end.

Another wonderful thing about the movie are the characters. Rarely has there ever been so many great, cool and memorable characters in one movie. Just look at the cast! Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Steve Buscemi, and Quentin Tarantino himself who I must say is a very good actor. This movie is full of very talented actors. Everyone! Everyone is perfect in their role. This is the film that made Tarantino famous, and once you watch it, you will know why.

The hand held camera work gives the movie an extra cool feeling, it might look like a bit unprofessional but it's nothing more then a brilliant addition to an already brilliant movie. The nice and cool "Super sounds of the 70's" soundtrack also adds to this. The movie is full with memorable moments such as the fantastic opening, the cop torture sequence and the Mexican stand-off at the end. But between all those scene's there are lot's of other moments which you will never forget. What more can I say, I'm almost in denial that this was Quentin Tarantinos first film, todays professionals couldn't have made something as professional as this film. I must say, Tarantino never stops surprising me, and he never lets me down like many other directors do. It's a hard to swallow film, but it's necessary to tell such a story.

Overall, Reservoir Dogs is without a doubt, one of the best movies I have ever seen. Tarantino is a fucking genius. You must watch if you haven't done so already. It is one of my favourite movies due to the great soundtracks, the natural dialogue and the lifelike twist at the end. Definitely one of my favorite movies, and anybody who is a fan of film should check it out. Rent it, and if you like it, go pick up the new Special Edition!
